ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Seeking a volunteer to assist the Fire Chief with administrative duties. Flexible hours; flexible days of the week; variable quantities of work; all equipment and training included; must be able to work in an unsupervised atmosphere; experience with Microsoft applications and business machines. Duties include data entry, filing, letter composition and general clerical duties. Membership is required (at no cost to you) and of course no compensation other than the satisfaction of helping to provide quality emergency services to the community.
SAFETY OFFICER
The company looks to promote from within, an individual to fill the position of Safety Officer. The qualifications and responsibilities can be found in the Standard Operating Guidelines.
EMS CAREGIVER
The company is recruiting individuals with or without EMS training to provide first responder medical care within the Borough and surrounding communities. All training and equipment supplied at no cost to you. If you have any time available during the day or evening to help provide emergency services, please contact us.

This evening company 8 was called to the 522 W Penn Ave for mva w/injuries. Crews performed patient care and basic vehicle operations. |

This afternoon the engine was called to 3030 chestnut st for smoke inside a structure. Crews did an investigation and found light smoke form burnt toast. Crews then vented the building and the box was put in service. |

Tonight company 8 was called to 2100 W Cumberland St for a reported steam table fire. Crews did an investigation to find that the steam table had just overheated and the box was placed in service. |

This evening Squad 8 was called to 2527 long lane for a farm tractor fire. The Squad, with 5, went responding and assisted Engine 9 with fire suppression and laying hazmat pads down for the engine run off. Crews were out for a little less than an hour. |

Today company 8 was called to 7 east penn ave for a mva with injuries.crews did patient care and basic vehicle operations. |

Today while crews where cleaning up from the fire Engine 8 was dispatched to Heritage Ln in North Cornwall for an odor of gas outside. Crews where out for about 45 mins. |

Just after midnight Company 8 was dispatched again to 120 S 22nd Street for a working house fire. Chief 14 arrived and requested a second alarm due to heavy fire showing through the roof. The Engine crew tagged a hydrant and then put an 1.75 and 2.5 line into service and went to work in the exposure building. Other crews worked the fire building while the truck companys opened up and utilized elevated master streams. The fire was then brought under control. Crews remained on scene for 4.5 hours performing overhaul. Great job by all crews! |

This morning company 8 was dispatched to 120 S 22nd Street for a working house fire. The Engine went responding with 5 while the Squad followed closely behind with 4. E8 arrived and assisted the 14 crew with fire attack on the second floor. The fire was knocked down quickly and 8 crews assisted for the remainder of the time with overhaul and clean-up. Company 8 was out for about 2.5 hours. |
